Welcome to the Children's Ministry at Salem Missionary Baptist Church! We are dedicated to providing a safe and exciting environment where children of all ages can learn about God's love, grow in their faith, and build meaningful friendships. Through engaging activities, Bible stories, and songs, we help children develop a strong foundation in Christian values and discover the joy of following Jesus.
Your First Visit!
We know your child's first visit to a new environment can be exciting yet a little nerve-wracking. Here's what you can expect:
Warm Welcome: Our friendly and caring team members will greet you and your child at the door, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
Safe and Secure: We prioritize your child's safety. Our children's ministry area is secure, and our staff members are CPR and background-checked.
Engaging Activities: Your child will participate in age-appropriate activities, songs, and Bible stories that are both fun and educational.
Parental Involvement: We encourage parents to stay involved in their child's faith journey. We offer resources and opportunities for parents to connect with other families and participate in ministry events.

What is the cost to participate?
At Salem, we believe financial limitations shouldn't hinder a child's opportunity to grow in faith. Our Children's Ministry programs are free to attend. We welcome donations to support our ministry and resources, but there is no pressure to give.
What should my child wear?
We want children to feel comfortable and ready to participate in our fun activities. Dress code is casual; comfortable clothing that allows for movement is perfect.
Does the Children's Ministry offer any special events or activities outside of regular programs?
Yes! We believe in creating a well-rounded experience for children. Throughout the year, we host various special events like movie nights, game days, and even mission trips (tailored for age groups). We will keep you informed about upcoming events through flyers, announcements, or our church website.
What happens during a service?
During our worship services, we offer a separate age-appropriate Children's Ministry program that runs concurrently. Your child will be well cared for by our dedicated staff and participate in engaging activities, songs, and Bible stories tailored to their age group. We will safely return your child to you at the sanctuary after the program concludes.
What if I need to pick up my child early during a program?
No problem! We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. You can simply check in with a staff member at the designated pick-up area and let them know you need to leave with your child.
What is your policy on snacks and allergies?
We prioritize the safety and well-being of all children. For this reason, we kindly ask that parents refrain from sending nut-containing snacks with their children. If your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance and discuss any specific needs with a staff member upon arrival. We can work together to ensure your child has a safe and enjoyable experience.
